A trial of MYLO is about to start. In this post we answer some questions about the trial and how it will work.
Why run a closed trial?
We want to make sure MYLO is as good as it can be, to do that we need to gather feedback from people using the system. So far we have surveyed teachers and pupils about what they would like to see in a language learning service, have tried out our ideas with pupils and run a technical pilot. Now we want to get feedback on the content and the software from a wider group of people. To take part in the trial you will first need to register. We will be sending out invitations to take part in the trial over the coming weeks.
I have pre-registered for MYLO but not yet been sent an invitation. Why?
Thank you for pre-registering. We have a lot of pre-registrations, but need to launch the service in a controlled way and so are introducing the service in batches. This is to help us to capture feedback and ensure the rollout of MYLO is as smooth as possible. We’re sorry we haven’t got to you yet, we have not lost your details and we will let you know as soon as we have got to your registration.
I have found a software bug or content error. What can I do about it?
Please email the address given in the trial document you have been sent, or call the number provided.
How long will the trial last?
The trial period will run until June when the service will be open to everyone.
What will MYLO cost?
Nothing, MYLO is funded by DCSF and free to use.
